About that cup'o'stress?

It's full again. Really, really full.

But I am here at work, not curled up at home whimpering. Woo hoo! Yay, me!

Even though money is tight, I think we'll have to find a couple of bucks to take a shot at the Super-7 lottery on Friday night. It's 25 million tax-free dollars. Not so different than throwing a coin into a wishing well or a fountain, I guess. 25 million could change a lot of lives, though. It'd make a heck of a Christmas, too.

I think that if we were to win something like that, it would take a long time to sink in. I wouldn't believe it until the cheque was in the bank and had had time to clear. So, about a week later, I'd start to believe it was true. :) But I'd make detours all over the place for a bit, checking my bank balance at ATMs.

"No, it's still in there. It must really be mine."

6 years ago we won 2,167 dollars from 6-49. I didn't believe that at first, either, lol. I made someone else check the ticket and still waited until it had been verified before I got really excited about it. It was the first year after we'd moved, so that money meant that we could fix the car enough to go home for Christmas, as well as actually take presents with us. Oh, and eat more than Kraft Dinner for the month leading up to Christmas. Very well timed money.

25 million is a whole 'nother story, though. That's "life as we know it is changed forever" money. I'm not even sure I want that much responsibility, really. Not that we'd keep all of it. There's a list of people we'd want to share with. We'd keep enough to never have to work again, though. Time to find a farm in the woods. Or an island.

Yeah, I think I'd like an island.

Hmm an island would mean you'd need a boat... yacht... yeah, I'd take that too LOL!

I am so buying a ticket this weekend too. "you never know"

lol @ "it's still there"... I actually went through that when the bank accidentally forgave my student loans.

"Somebody must have paid them off for you," they said. Every day for a month, I kept checking and one day, sure enough, they came back. lol

If you win the 25 mil, will you buy me some nice shoes? :D

Oh, and gimme a straw. I'll try to help with your big gulp.

A yacht would be nice, yeah. With an island, you couldn't be dropped in on by all the people who sudden remember how much they like you just after you win a lot of money. ;)

Too bad the bank realized their mistake, Prin. But good that you waited and didn't just spend merrily away. And you did help already with my big gulp. Thanks!

What's 6-49?...If I won 25 million I'd buy someone to come write my blog.

Matt-6-49 is the lottery where you choose 6 numbers from 1-49; we matched 5 of the 6 numbers and won 2100 bucks. 5 and the bonus would have been about 200,000, and all 6 would have been 2 million. All tax-free because Canada rocks!

If I won 25 million, I'd still write my blog but I'd have a really kick-ass computer to do it on, in a really nice library in a really nice house. :D
